Manual Dodge Caliber.
Probably nobody bought them because nobody buys Dodge Calibers new except rental car companies.

My sister’s ex-boyfriend had one. It was okay.

Well, there was also the Caliber SRT-4 .
I don’t know who was asking for a 285hp/265 lb-ft Dodge Caliber, but apparently some people are pretty into them. Weird.

My wife is from a Mopar family. She probably woulda had one if it wasn’t manual only.

How about a Diesel Manual one?

I think it was a Volkswagen engine. They managed to sell about 6000 of them here, but I think they were very cheap.

I’d like to forget about the Dodge Caliber all together, regardless of transmission.

Honestly I’d rather have that than a Neon SRT4

They’re still shit cars either way sooooo XD

I’ve been inside one. It has about 50% of the interior space you think it does.

I just forgot these existed again.

There were a few of those at a previous job. I didn’t even know they existed either. Shifter was the cheapest piece of plastic ever in a car.

These actually weren’t terrible.
Ok, ok ... they were significantly LESS terrible.

I would never, ever, ever buy a caliber.

I had the misfortune of owning one for a brief moment in time.

That sounds horrible.

I’ve actually driven an SRT Caliber. They are as good as Calibers get.
I don’t blame you in the least.

A friend of mine has a manual Caliber! I’ve driven it - it’s, well, a caliber.
Valve float at like 6 grand, though.

I had one and I can confirm this as accurate.

I fucking hate when car makers do that.
It’s like, you have the money and can easily allocate the resources. But you choose not to?
I mainly shift on engine noise and what feels right though, but sometimes that doesn’t always work.

Well it was not something I really chose. It was either that or bankruptcy. Life was great I had a steady GF,I owned my own property,I had a sweet truck. But then my then GF had this bright idea that she would start sleeping with my best friend.
Let me tell you when you split all expenses to having to pay it all yourself things go down the shitter quick. An extra $1000/month was not something I planned for.
The gas sucking truck had to go,the house had to go,essentially sold everything and traded in the truck for the Caliber. The Caliber was the cheapest car Dodge sold and Dodge were the only ones that gave me a semi decent trade in value. It still was way less than what I owed but was thousands more than the other guys.
Barely made it out above water but I had to do what I had to do. Survival mode is no joke.
The car was horrible in every way. The road noise was almost unbearable and the interior space was comically small. Like another commenter said they have about half the space you think it has. Every time I would clutch out I would hit my knee in the dash, everything was flimsy plastics. Just all around horrible car. I kept it for 5,600 miles and decided it had to go.

I can just imagine the vagueness of the shifter and the boring clutch action with absolutely no feedback at all. AHH!!
